No Bake Chocolate Cheesecake

Filling is prepared from melted chocolate chips, sugar, cream cheese, butter, and frozen whipped topping. Filling is spooned into graham cracker crust and refrigerated until filling is firm. Cheesecake is garnished with shaved chocolate.

Ingredients -
1-1/2 cups Semisweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
1 (8 ounces) package Cream Cheese, softened
1 (3 ounces) package Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup Butter, softened
2 cups Frozen Whipped Topping, thawed
1 Graham Cracker Crust
 
Preparation:

1. Melt chocolate chips on low power in microwave.

2. Add sugar, softened cream cheese, and butter to medium mixing bowl.

3. Beat with electric hand mixer until smooth. Blend melted chocolate into filling on low speed.

4. Fold in whipped topping.

5. Spoon the filling into graham cracker crust.

6. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until firm.

7. Garnish with whipped topping and some shaved chocolate.

Chocolate Chips

Most chocolate chips that are sold today are not real chocolate. Hydrogenated oil has replaced the cocoa butter so the chips will hold their shape when baked. Check the label to know what type of product you are buying.
